Spring Awakening Tour: Seasons Of Spring - A look back at our first year.

A couple of weeks ago I was looking back through millions of photos of this past year on tour and I was taken back quite a bit - how does time fly as fast as it does? How can we do so much in a year, and forget about a lot of it?Needless to say, I was inspired to share the photos with you so I made this video documenting the past year of my life with my Spring Awakening family.

This video is also up on the tour's blog (http://totallytrucked.blogspot.com/)

The show "reawakening" in less than a week!

In other news: I went to Richmond this past weekend to see Collin in "Psycho Beach Party," I'm a proud friend.

This past year of my life has been about a lot of "new." Traveling with a job that was so new to me, a lifestyle that was drastically different than the one I had, and meeting new friends who instantaneously became family. I've connected with a lot of "new" this year. At the same time, I've had the privilege and a fateful blessing to reconnect with cherished friends, familiar cities, and music - more specifically my music. For my first of three EP's due out before June 2010, it just seemed natural to title it; Connecting. Reconnecting. On some songs, I've had the honor to connect and learn from a handful of new talent. Other songs have been about reconnecting with friends I haven't played with in years, at studios I haven't been to in years.

There is no better measure of personal growth than connecting to the new, and reconnecting to the not-so-new.

The EP is out on the internet now! You can get your copy here: Freddy Hall - Connecting. Reconnecting.

And, not to brag, but to inform: all songs written by me.

I ask just one more favor (only if the music compels you to do so) SPREAD THE WORD! Even if it's just to one other person, that's one more person that I wouldn't have told! I also welcome any feedback you might have.

Thanks for all of you who helped pick the cover. I think it works really well with the songs - the more I see it, the more obvious it is now!

Also, freddyhall.com is not up yet but coming soon!

Road Trip to FSU - and other happenings during my time off!

My seven week break is just flying by - and I can't say it hasn't been uneventful!

Some proof:

The pictures are from The Killers concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland, The Wallflowers at the 9:30 club in DC, an 11 hour road trip to Tallahassee, FL to see the Seminoles football season opener a trip up to Pittsburgh to visit Perry at school. We ended up recording a new song!

The good and bad news - three more weeks!

FSU War Chant

I went on a very spontaneous road-trip this past weekend with my better-than-the-closest-thing-I-have-to-a-brother, Collin. Collin is the biggest FSU football fan I know, and I'd take bets that he's the biggest fan ever. They had their season opener on Monday and to make his life long dream come true, we drove 11 hours to get to Tallahassee, FL to catch an exciting home game (even if they lost). I'll post pictures from our amazing seats a little later - but for now check out my rendition of the "War Chant."

This was inspired by our trip and maybe gave me an idea for my next album titled "College War Chants" ... just playin
